Relic Entertainment, award winning developers of Homeworld, Dawn of War and the highest rated RTS of all time, Company of Heroes, is looking for a Technical Online Associate Producer to join our team.
The Technical Online Associate Producer is responsible for supporting the production staff and any Online related corporate or licensor relationships. You will work to improve communication, determine potential production/process problems or improvements and help to focus the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the requirements, processes and priorities of the Online engineering team in coordination with the Engineering Lead
- Monitor team progress and maintain the schedule. Provide Producer with regular updates on status and risks as required
- Communicate engineering milestone achievements to the Producer
- Support the engineering team; ensure there are no blockers for current and future milestones
- Coordinate with internal and external resources to ensure successful completion of assigned duties
- Carry out administrative duties such as taking meeting notes, writing reports and tracking key service and support issues
- Support the online community by interfacing with the community liaison to periodically monitor and post appropriate information on message boards
- Live Product support (CD-Key generation, THQ Customer Support assistance)
- Support development and DevTest, creating an efficient workflow
- Plan and review architecture for new products and features
- Review open bug-lists and assign/follow-up with bugs until fully resolved
- Assist Leads and Producer with performance reviews, team status tracking and recruiting
- Establish new and improved production pipelines
- Fulfill build requests for internal sources and/or third party partners
- Participate in critiques of UI designs and processes
- Maintain build systems and ensure development is not blocked
- Maintain patching process, build patches for post-product support
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical Degree or equivalent
- 4 to 5 years of media (film, art, games) experience
- Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages such as LUA/Python
- Solid understanding of source management software (e.g. Perforce, SourceSafe, etc.)
- Ability to identify process gaps or problems, collect information, establish facts, engage and influence appropriate resources and
- effectively implement changes
- Strong understanding and experience with testing processes and procedures
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong leadership and decision making skills
- Strong negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution skills
- Proactive and independent in nature, but can take direction well.
