As a Development Tester, you will be responsible for running and creating test cases/test suites, performing regression testing, verify claimed bug fixes and entering data into bug and project goal tracking systems. Teamwork and a professional attitude are primary to this role. Both verbal and written communication along with interpersonal skills is a must!  At Relic, we are big on teamwork. And the Dev Testers play a vital role.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify software defects, run test suites, verify fixes
  • Enter bugs into Bug Tracking System
  • Verification and tracking of development goals
  • Creation of test cases and test suites

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Tester on at least 1 - 4 released software products
  • Minimum 6 months software test experience. 1 year plus preferred. 
  • Basic to advanced software troubleshooting skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and analyze software defects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to remain focused until project completion
  • Ability to troubleshoot

 

Assets:

  • Game industry experience (preferred but not necessary)
  • Experience and understanding of console or PC game testing
  • Software development experience
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum Project Management Theory
