Relic Releases Company of Heroes Soundtracks

We do occasionally promote Company of Heroes sales on our websites and those of you looking at Steam’s store over this weekend will see that the complete Company of Heroes series is on special, 75% off of the three titles. There is also something new on the page for COH fans, a download of over 60 music tracks from the game that we are making freely available to everyone.

The Relic team spent a ton of time and energy on every aspect Company of Heroes, and this showed in the final product. No exception to this was the sound for the game. Whether it was explosions rumbling in the distance, MG42s rattling on the other side of the hedgerow, or the epic music that scored these scenes throughout, the sound team set themselves the highest of bars. Years later, we still field requests to release the music from the game and at long last we’re happy to say that the hurdles that prevented us from doing this earlier have been cleared. Everyone is now freely available to download the 61 tracks that make up a double album, the songs from the Company of Heroes series. Our thanks to Valve for hosting this music for us and helping to distribute it for Company of Heroes fans. We hope you all enjoy it.

You can find a small interview with David Renn, the Audio Designer here at Relic that put together the soundtracks, at our Company of Heroes Community Site.
